Michael Schumacher won his first title with Benetton. Damon Hill finished as runner-up by a single point for Williams. Gerhard Berger of Scuderia Ferrari finished the season ranked third (Pictured driving for McLaren).
Would Senna have won 1994?
By the 4th race of the season, Senna was 30pts behind Schumacher. Now this doesn’t sound much in today’s Formula 1, but back in 1994 it was only 10 pts for a win with 6pts for second. That means for Senna to catch Schumacher, he would have to have won the next 8 races, assuming Schumacher finished 2nd.
